How I got here

Welcome to AlienAlexComics. A place to see this dorky alien's (that's me) comics about odd adventures & more that comes to mind.  Besides drawing, I'm over the moon with video games, walking/biking, & wondering if extraterrestrials will do something to us...

 

I always dream of traveling around the world, experiencing different cultures & atmospheres that seem kind of "lacking" here in the States. But of course, I can’t, thanks to obvious limitations including money. So with my passion for drawing, I decided to put that wish into comic/manga storytelling & characters. One of the characters I used the most is inspired by my wish.

 

When I was younger, I used to draw fanfiction comics (cringe as clearly as I remembered) with some of my favorite game & cartoon franchises, including Sonic, Pokemon, Kirby, Spider-Man, Mega Man, and even Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends for some silly reason, etc. Geez, my imagination was really weird back then. But since college arrived, I stopped doing them… I wish I didn’t recycle all of them… 

 

However, my interest in comic & character designing hasn’t vanished. Starting in 2017, I started self-teaching myself further into the comic & character design stuff while taking graphic design classes. I enjoy the creative freedom of using characters & settings however I want. Plus drawing is one of the things I'm good at. I will continue on this path and make my wacky stories known to broader reaches in the world.
